A friend of mine from Harvard finally won a long battle against her former partner for locking her out of her own investment firm. What a nightmare for anyone. Unfortunately, some people try to take advantage of their power. They are simply power hungry and greedy. Once in while, a Court learns the details and sets things right. Congratulations Alice. My Verizon phone’s time is 2 minutes faster than my daughter’s T-Mobile time or my friend’s AT&T wireless time. The official Greenwich Meantime agrees with AT&T and T-Mobile. Why can’t Verizon get the time right? Seems like an easy question and it should be right. It is always amazing to me that executives at big companies like Verizon live in a bubble where they don’t check their own systems against competition. If anyone at Verizon or Verizon Wireless bothered to check the official time, they would notice that millions of people are getting bad information from them. Management teams should call their own phone number and see how long they go on hold or how hard it is to find someone. They should buy their own products with their own money after shopping at competitors stores. They should buy the competititve product too. And then ask their spouse to use both and tell them the truth. They should see if the proper company name and address is listed in 411. These simple steps would improve service for all their customers and increase shareholder value.
